Absolutely! The leftist woke the USA BEAST. We got tired of being called all the things & being told that truth was a lie. That kids “knew” who they were

We got tired of working out 40,50,60 hours weeks, only to see that money go in a day. We were FED up & we knew the ONE person who could right the ship & we didn’t care what the younger generation thought or felt. We were done dealing with a bunch of people throwing temper tantrums any time they didn’t agree.

We were done. I hope he can right the ship. I am excited about the people he is bringing with him. So nice to see young blood!!

Meseidy! Nobody has been able to perfectly articulate what we are currently living, but you did it! I agree w/J. R. I want to print this to keep for posterity. I want to re-read it when the chaos rages, as we go through these historic changes. I want every one I know to read this. As a fellow GenX-er, I have never felt more understood. Also, I will never understand how the “Make Love Not War” Boomers came full circle to “Make War Not Love” . It smacks of bipolar. I just don’t get it. Your term ‘illiberals’ is most fitting. Sometimes I wonder if the loudest 1% (academia types) hijacked the Boomer’s narrative. Either way your assessment of DJT’s unlikely partnership with GenX is spot on. We have all had to sit by and watch our government become a gerontocracy. Literally, walking the halls of Congress on walkers & falling asleep on National TV. The “live & let live” of GenX-ers knows to respect it’s elders, & since we don’t do the ‘ism’s’ we haven’t engaged in ageism. Though we’ve known this must change. Many of the aged from both sides seemed bent on occupying those seats from cradle to literal grave. For years now I’ve wondered, where are there protégés, why aren’t they equipping the next generation. Passing the baton to the next generation is a sign of sanity. It is a sign of good parenting, by parents who care for their children. As many of these elderly leaders are making their way to the door, it appears maybe the only children they were caring for were their own ($). Engaging in corrupt insider trading both sides have made a career of bloating their bank accounts. It makes one wonder if their reluctance to leave is because of an addiction to money and power. Either way, the GenX’er’s have been a good sport about it until now. As your article stated, it’s time for the scrappers to tag in and right the ship. I liked the charts you included. Seeing younger leaders take their place is a very good reason to hope. Now we just need these cabinet members to get across the finish line. Thank you for putting in the work to offer us news that is real. This Subscription is worth every penny!

Really good. I really wanted a Gen X pres, but not enough to beat Trump. I love his straight talk and his humor. Funny that Trump is a boomer and Vance is a millennial, but great that Gen X plays big role in cabinet. One correction: Biden and Pelosi aren’t Boomers; they’re Silent Gen.

Don’t forget our fierce GenX First Lady. She exudes our FAFO attitude! Buckle up baby, things are going to move fast!

That probably part of it. He has a lot of GenX influence around him.

Oh goodness! I’m so glad Trump has ousted the boomers. Love them, but they need to retire and live life out of office. As an elder millennial(1985), I’ve felt more kinship to GenX than millennials. I’m glad that he is lifting up and placing leadership that can actually live long enough to see change. To have newer, fresher ideas. I had thought the boomer generation would hold on and skip allowing GenX a chance to lead, but in comes Donald J. Trump! Woohoo!
