I am glad to see that Trump is re-assessing the strategy here. We cannot afford to continue this way, especially so close to the midterms. I almost wonder if Noem will be fired, I have a very hard time taking her seriously in this role, and you presented some very interesting information. Thank you for what you do.
Thank you so much for this thoughtful and insightful account. I try so hard not to rush to conclusions, however hard that may be. This one is a tough one...so many pieces and so many people responding and reacting makes it hard to unwind and wait for information. I was pulled into a really rough discussion last night and a relationship ended simply because I said I didn't want to engage in texting about such a political and emotionally charged event.
I wish going forward the admin would just say “we will make statements once a full investigation is completed” about every single incident instead of rushing and making fools of themselves!

Y’all are proof that you can be supportive but also have your eyes wide open to what your preferred side of the political aisle is doing. The shootings connected to the ICE operations are tragic. There’s no way around that. But seeing the whole picture helps things make sense.

I have to say, I agree more with Holman’s approach. I have to wonder if his approach had been followed if there might be less violence. It’s hard to say.
I wonder why it took an independent journalist to break into signal chat? Those backing the operation didn’t just organically pop up.
I keep thinking this has all the signs of a color revolution. Same tactics as George Floyd. Same players, BLM and Antifa.
There is so much propaganda and it appears not a lot of people have any critical thinking skills to see that they are being manipulated. You think people would have learned from Covid.
It’s really hard NOT to shoot multiple times. I’m only speaking from the point of a police wife but the intent is always shoot to kill- neutralize the threat. So often the shooter can miss multiple shots when nerves are high so they are trained to keep shooting. That never sounds good though and it never ever looks good. I think it must be hard to understand from the average civilian perspective. So I agree with you. There’s so little any law enforcement or politician can do now to back track the horror.
Definitely a powder keg! Hoping things settle down a bit with the National Guard’s presence. I don’t want to see anyone killed - civilian or LEO. There is 100% chance of NOT getting shot if you don’t show up to protest against ICE removing illegals. 🤔
