"Then the algorithm got me. Somewhere between the 200-character posts and the 2-minute clips, I stopped picking up books." #relatable

I love that you're sharing your bookiness (is that a word?). I have been in a book club for over 20 years with some very voracious readers and when some of them read The Secret History and hated it (and they rarely "hate" books) I said I'm pretty sure I can skip this one. I enjoyed reading your summary though and now I know for sure I'm not missing anything (ha!). There are just too many other (shorter) books. Looking forward to your next review!

What is it about book recommendations that are so addicting?! I cannot WAIT to see what comes down the line. You’ve definitely inspired me to kick my scrolling habit for more page turning.

Well Meseidy, that’s what you get for reading pop novels hehe 😅

Have you read it? Am I wrong? 😆

No I haven’t read it and you did a really good thorough job of laying it out and exposing the literary weaknesses so we don’t have to, love it! Lately I’ve been on a C.S. Lewis kick- starting with Becoming Mrs. Lewis, by Patti Callahan, which I thought was really well written and good and touched me deeply, and then I read Mere Christianity, by himself, amazing and educational and illuminating, and now I am almost done with C.S. Lewis- A Life, by Alistair McGraith which is also very enlightening about his life and how his books and writings have ebbed and flowed or stood the test of time- weren’t those just the best books, the Chronicles of Narnia? I was a book worm as a kid and those were such a wonderful world of imagination to get into

Sorry longest tag on response ever! 🤗📚 so fun!

I have never even heard of this book, but now I'm definitely not going to read it 😆
