I’m working on a new project, so I have been a little quiet lately. It’s also why today’s Digest is late. I am not ready to provide more details. Paid subscribers will be the first to know and probably get a preview, so stay tuned.
However, in the process of my research, I have come across some very interesting articles and sources. The project requires me to do some background research on our President, Joesph Robinette Biden, who has been in politics for a million years.
While researching his first senate run, I came across a Washingtonian article from 1974 that profiles the newly elected youngest senator who had lost his wife and child in an auto accident just weeks before his inauguration.
In the article titled “Death and the All-American Boy, Joe Biden was a lot more careful around the press after this 1974 profile”, you can still see much of current-day Biden all the way then. It’s not the softball-flattering profile that we get from current-day journalists whenever they profile a Democrat.
It’s really a fascinating look into the past.
