📱Off the Feed | The Breaker That Broke the Internet
What's trending on the feeds. I doom scroll so you don't have to.
Wow! You guys really liked the first edition of “Off the Feed.” I got a tone of love on that post. Thank you so much!
I guess we are all looking for a way to stay connected without having to doom-scroll the feeds.
This week on “Off the Feed,” an Olympic breaker broke the internet, we were introduced to copycat Kamala, and the Don returns to X.
Let’s see what’s on the feeds.
Ray Gunn makes everyone feel they, too, can be Olympians
The Paris Olympics, which has left us with so many memorable and iconic moments, debuted “breaking, ”also known as “break dancing,” to anyone under the age of 40 and, with it, a living meme in the form of Australian breaker Rachael Gunn who goes by her b-girl moniker Ray Gunn.

It will be a surprise to virtually no one that Gunn has a PhD in the culture of breaking and is a women’s studies professor.
Following her performance, which earned her zero points, she went viral all over social media for her lack of skill and questionable choice of dance moves.

The most iconic move was an homage to Australia, “the kangaroo,” which created some *chef kiss* memes.
If you are interested in a full breakdown of all things Ray Gunn including some scandal, I'll pass you on to the lovely Brett Cooper.
Kamala Steals Policy because she has none
Kamala has no policy on her website, and she says she might have come out in the next two weeks, but she tested one of her new policies out at a Las Vegas rally. Weirdly, it’s the same policy Trump proposed two months ago.
The comparisons and call-outs went viral on social media, leading to #CopyCatKamala to trend at #1 on X.
When it Clicks
Late at night, while scrolling the feeds, I stumbled upon this sweet lady. From her account, it looks like she is just a regular mom who is living life. Her account is about everyday life, with no political commentary.
But she took the time to see Harris be informed about her choices for the 2024 Election, and it is fascinating to watch things click in real-time.

The Second Coming of …*eye roll*
Time magazine debuted their propaganda poster….errr cover.
Interesting detail: it had been 23 days since Kamala Harris avoided the media and did not do a single unscripted event. Time also reached out to Harris for an interview, and she turned them down, but Time STILL published this cover.
Real Dad Vibes
With all the talk about Tim Walz having “dad vibes,” I thought I'd share some authentic dad vibes with you.
Return of the Don
Donald Trump has returned to X, formerly known as Twitter — kind of.
On Monday, Trump posted several campaign ads to his X in advance of his interview with Elon Musk on Spaces.
But he hasn’t published any new posts on X since Monday, while he continues his ALL CAPS posts on Truth Social.
The two-hour conversation covered an array and peaked at 1.3 million active listeners. If you want to listen to it, it is pinned on Trump’s X profile. If you want to jump ahead, this post has the timestamps.
And, of course, a record-breaking political has to include memes.
After the interview, the Harris campaign released a statement that felt more like a tantrum from a 14-year-old mean girl than a response from a presidential nominee.
Trump Visits Waffle House
The media made a big deal about Biden going to Waffle House after the debate that led to his demise. Here is Trump socializing with people during a Waffle House visit that was not covered by the media.
CNN is not in on the joke
CNN anchor Kaitlin Collins is apparently not on the joke after Colbert’s audience burst into laughter when Colbert says that CNN is “objective” and only covers “the facts.”
This is not my experience
I have a lab and a pool. This is not my experience. It’s about as chaotic as you would think.
Well, that is all the internet I have for you today. Did I miss something? Shoot me a DM, and I may share it in next week’s edition of “Off the Feed.”
