📱Off the Feed | Dead Bear Mystery Solved and the Walz Memes Roll In
What's trending on the feeds. I doom scroll so you don't have to.
I spend too much time on my feeds, and I like to think it serves a purpose beyond just an addiction. I’ve found that purpose: I keep up with the feeds, so you don’t have to. That’s why I’m launching a new newsletter called “Off the Feed,” where I’ll share some of what is trending on social media, allowing you to stay informed without having to scroll through the feeds yourself.
This week on “Off the Feed,” a decade-long mystery was finally solved. Kamala veered off script for thirty seconds, and it went as well as could be expected. The news feeds responded to Walz having Harris's choice for VP.
Let’s see what’s on the feeds.
Kamala Develops a Southern Accent
During Harris’s Atlanta campaign rally, she took the stage and miraculously developed a southern accent, even though she grew up in Canada and lived most of her adult life in California. It was very reminiscent of a time when Hillary Clinton suddenly developed a southern accent at a campaign event in Greenville, South Carolina, during her 2008 presidential run.
Kamala Goes of Script
It’s been sixteen days since Harris pushed Biden aside and became the presidential nominee. In that time, she hasn’t come out from behind the teleprompter, held a press conference, or given an interview except for one time for just twenty seconds, and it went as well as can be expected.
I think we know why she is hiding.
The Kids will Never Know
I came across this, and it made me smile. I almost want to install a big wall-mounted landline phone in my kitchen.

Trump in Slow Mo’
Trump arrived in Atlanta for a campaign rally. At the rally, he walked onto the stage to 50 Cent’s song “Many Men,” the lyrics of which are:
Many men, wish death upon me
Blood in my eye dawg and I can't see
I'm trying to be what I'm destined to be
And niggaz trying to take my life away
In a post by the Trump campaign Instagram, they slow mo’ Trump to make him look cool, which he does. And let’s be honest, if they slow-mo’ed Biden, he would be standing still.
RFK Jr. and the Mystery of the Bear
This week, during an election of unprecedented events and “I did not see that coming on the bingo card,” the most out-there story was revealed, solving a decades-old mystery.
But first you have to watch this video for context.
During a podcast interview with Roseanne Barr, RFK Jr. mentioned that he had heard The New Yorker was preparing a story about him. A fact-checker contacted him to inquire about a claim that he had left the body of a bear cub in Central Park alongside a bicycle as a prank.
He did. I let Bobbie tell you how that went in his own words.
Byron and George Square Off
Byron Donalds and George Stephanopoulos go tow-to-tow in a wild and confrontational interview. Stephanopoulos plays “White Savior” and attacks Donalds, a black man, for not being offended by Trump’s comments about Kamala self-identifying as black when it is politically convenient.
Donalds tried to talk about policy and bring attention to Harris’s positions, and Stephanopoulos continued to attempt to race-bait Donalds. It’s nuts.
Trump did a Livestream with Aidin Ross. But who is Adin Ross?
I was today days old when I found out who Adin Ross was.
He is a 23-year-old streamer with millions of followers. On Monday, he did a stream in which he interviewed Trump, which topped 500k live views and reached over 1 million in total.
Word is it was Baron who encouraged his father to do the stream.
Watch the full stream here. 👇
It may seem odd that a presidential candidate goes on some kid’s stream, but yesterday, I had no clue who Ross was. Flip that and think how many new potential voters Trump reached with that stream and the social media reach from it.
We are in some new wild times.
Trump isn’t done campaigning online. He just announced he will interview Elon Musk on X.
Kamala Picks Timmy 🗑️🔥
Yesterday afternoon, Harris announced that Tim Walz, the governor of Minnesota, was her pick for vice president. Democrats and the left, including the most radical on the left (*A-hum* Democratic Socialist of America), are beaming about Walz as Harris's choice.
But conservatives were also celebrating for very different reasons.
Then the memes came.
To provide some context for the memes. Tim Walz signed a law requiring public schools in grades 4 through 12 to provide menstrual products in both boy's and girls’ bathrooms.
He was also governor of Minnesota during the George Floyd riots, which he defended during a press conference, saying, “A society that doesn’t put diversity, Equity, and inclusion at the center of it is going to come to the places we are at.”
That is so Skibidi…Skibidi Toilet
Finally, if you have a Gen Alpha kid and they said “skibidi” or “skibidi toilet,” and you are wondering what in the world they are saying and where this word came from, here you go.
Well, that is all the internet I have for you today. Did I miss something? Shoot me a DM, and I may share it in next week’s edition of “Off the Feed.”
If you do want to pop in on the feeds during the week, give me a follow on Instagram, where I post daily on my stories. 👇
