How the Democratic Establishment and Donors Lied to Maintain Control
From the basement to backroom deals, the Democratic Party's shameless betrayal of voters and the takeover by the donor class.
On Sunday, the political landscape took a shocking turn as President Biden withdrew from the presidential race and shortly thereafter endorsed his Vice President, Kamala Harris.
In a highly ironic twist, Biden chose to announce his withdrawal from the race via a post on X while isolated in Delaware, allegedly due to COVID. There was no video message, no public address, not even a photo of him signing the letter.
After Biden announced his withdrawal and threw his support behind Kamala Harris, the election landscape began to shift rapidly. Harris quickly garnered endorsements from high-profile Democrats, including Nancy Pelosi. Not surprisingly, considering she’s also the only one with access to the $200+ million in Biden-Harris campaign funds.
By Monday night, Kamala has secured enough delegates to clinch the Democratic nomination and not a single Democrat voter having cast a ballot for her. Although she is still not officially the nominee until the convention, it’s highly unlikely anyone will challenge her and trigger an open convention, and if they do, it will only be for theatrics.
This situation raises a crucial question for the Democrats, who laud themselves on being the guardians of democracy: How will they proceed with Kamala Harris's nomination? The decision to hold a virtual convention, originally planned to address Ohio's ballot deadline issue, now takes on new significance. With Ohio having moved its deadline from August 7 to September 1, there is no longer a need for a virtual convention. However, the AP reports that Democrats plan to proceed with the virtual convention to cement Harris as the nominee and sidestep the potential chaos of a contested convention.
The convention rules committee will meet Wednesday to finalize how the virtual roll call will work. The AP obtained a draft of the plan on Monday night. It does not specify a date for when virtual voting will begin, but DNC Chair Jaime Harrison said the process will be completed by Aug. 7 — twelve days before the party’s convention begins.
Biden stepping down and Kamala Harris as the Democrat nomminee completely changes everything about this election. The Biden vs. Trump election is no more, and with Kamala being the likely nominee, the Republicans have been forced into a completely new game. If they were smart, they were preparing for this, and although we might not know what the future holds, we can look back and analyze how we got here thanks to the Democratic lies, propaganda, and political scheming to hold on to power at any cost.
Let’s take a look at how the ardent defenders of democracy have, in reality, taken a huge heaping dump💩 on democracy.
