So hereās what I was digging into right before I went to bed. Thereās a Huffington Post article ā liberal outlet ā quoting Texas congressional candidate James Talarico at a rally in Austin, the day after he taped an interview with Stephen Colbert. And at this rally, heās telling the crowd that the Trump administration coordinated with CBS executives to censor him. To literally block his interview from airing. He frames it as an attack on free speech. He invokes cancel culture. He says this is proof that the people who claim to be pro-free-speech are anything but.
And the crowd eats it up. Because thatās a great story. Thatās a story worth fighting over.
Except it isnāt true.
